St. Stan Perpetual Adoration

On October 19, 1986, Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration opened in St. Stanislaus Parish as a joint effort of St. Stanislaus and St. Margaret parishes with someone praying in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament during each of the 24 hours every day. Also participating are members of parishes from Taos, St. Thomas, Jefferson City, and Mary's Home.

Many of those who originally made commitments for a weekly hour are still faithful to those commitments and eagerly look forward to that time with Jesus each week. Anyone can become a part of this devotion by making a commitment to be there at a particular hour. Telephone numbers of those who can assist with this are listed in the parish bulletin. (see the side bar).

An hour with the Blessed Sacrament is an opportunity to take time out from the hectic routine of every day living and lay our cares and concerns before the God of love and peace and come away refreshed. Both Pope Paul VI and Pope John Paul 11 highly recommend this devotion, and in the words of Father Martin Lucia, "Just as you can't be exposed to the sun without receiving its rays, neither can you come to Jesus exposed in the Blessed Sacrament without receiving the divine rays of His grace, His love, His peace."
